At Skin by Shiba, we value your time and our practitioners’ time. These policies ensure a smooth, safe and professional experience for every client while helping us deliver the best laser hair removal results possible

Appointment Reminders & Cancellations

If you need to cancel or amend your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice.

As a courtesy, we send:

  • An email reminder 48 hours before your appointment

  • A text reminder 48 hours prior

While these reminders are provided, it remains your responsibility to keep track of your booking.

Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled online at any time outside of the 48-hour window.
For any cancellations, rescheduling, or enquiries within 48 hours, please send a DM to @skinbyshiba or reply directly to your reminder email.

As a small business, late cancellations and missed appointments have a significant impact on our ability to operate. For this reason, we strictly enforce our cancellation policy.

Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours, or missed appointments will result in the deposit being forfeited.

Pre-Treatment Requirements

To ensure a safe treatment and the best possible results, please:

  • Arrive with no makeup, deodorant, moisturiser, or products on the areas being treated

  • Shave the treatment area 24 hours prior to your appointment

  • Avoid active skincare ingredients (retinol, AHA/BHA, benzoyl peroxide) on the treatment area for at least 2 weeks before your appointment

Deposits & Scheduled Appointments

Moving into 2026, a $50 deposit will be required for all bookings and is strictly non-refundable.

The deposit is applied toward the cost of your treatment on the day of your appointment.

If you choose to remove treatment areas on the day of your appointment, the full service originally booked will still be charged.
Any adjustments to your booking must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.

Late Arrivals & No-Shows

Arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in a shortened treatment or the need to reschedule. In either case, the full appointment fee may still apply.

Missed appointments or no-shows will result in a full charge.

Medical History Form (New Clients)

All new clients at Skin by Shiba are required to complete a medical history and skin questionnaire before their first treatment. This helps us ensure all laser hair removal treatments are safe, suitable, and tailored to your individual needs.

By completing this form, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date medical information

  • Disclose all medications, supplements, and relevant health conditions

  • Inform us of any changes to your health before future appointments

This information allows our Melbourne laser clinic to customise your settings and deliver the safest treatment possible.

Privacy Policy

Your personal information, medical history, and treatment photos are kept strictly confidential and used only for treatment purposes.
